Hyperion Reactor to begin independent tests this week.
I’ve already covered the Hyperion Reactor here and here. Built by Defkalion Green Techologies, it claims to be able to produce relatively clean and cheap energy using cold fusion - along with some of the claims of fraud.
Now Australian entrepreneur Dick Smith (Who has a well known chain of electronics stores here in NZ and Australia) has offered $1 million to Defkalion if they will let him conduct independent tests. It seems Defkalion have provisionally accepted the offer - more details on that here.
Meanwhile Hyperion have announced that independent testing will start this Friday 24 February. If the machine works as stated, it would likely cause energy prices to fall by up to one hundred times this decade.
