‘Kinect for Media Center’ App shown off.
The ‘Kinect for Media Center’ App is part of a larger Media Center Project, hoping to “transform the way that we interact with the technology in our homes and offices”, according to the website.
The third party software allows users of the new Kinect for Windows device to control WMC menus and functions using gesture and voice control. The developer also claims the software will be able to cancel out noise from anything playing in Media Center, so that your favourite TV show won’t start setting off the voice commands.
The beta software can be downloaded for US$6.99, here, and there’s also a video of it in action here.
